I first met Rex in 1969. 

Rex was such an inspiration to me. Not just for his ability and advancement but his whole approach to the job; determined to get it done but never any panic, full of down to earth common sense and easy in his communication with everyone. 

Some of the individuals were easier than others but Rex dealt with them all with such effortless aplomb.

He was a real professional.
